Laboratories
Theory helps in gaining knowledge while practical knowledge is acquired by day-to-day hands-n experiences. They get a first-hand learning experience by performing various experiments on their own. Thus, we have incorporated state-of-the-art laboratories with the essential equipment for various experiments. The science laboratory helps school children to interact directly with the data gathered. The learners get the opportunity to use the models and understand various scientific theories and concepts.
Physics Lab
The physics laboratory has all the equipment to have a hands-on on whatever the students have learnt in the theory classes, including Ammeter, Volt meter, Galvanometer, Rheostat, resistant box, registers, glass labs, plain mirrors, convex & concave mirrors, convex & concave lens, spring balance, bob, connecting wires and glass prisms. It is furnished with a demonstration table, and the standard tables for students to do experiments.
Chemistry Lab
The chemistry laboratory in NCS provides a platform for students to nurture the budding scientists within them. The laboratory is furnished with a demonstration table and standard tables for students to do experiments.
The lab is equipped with state of the art devices such as fume hood, physical balance, Bunsen burners, beakers, flasks, test tubes and a concealed gas line. The acids and other reactive chemicals are stored in separate locked cupboards as a precautionary measure. There is a separate workstations with individual burners to facilitate students to do experiments independently. The apparatuses include test-tube stands, watch glasses, China dishes, test- tube holders, glass rods, funnels, round-bottomed flasks, conical flasks, tripod stands, wire gauges, clamp stands and a variety of chemicals. Thus, the school chemistry lab provides a dynamic learning environment that is student-centered and curriculum-driven
Biology Lab
Laboratory and field experiences provide opportunities for tutors to model best practices in the study of biology. NCS has in place an airy, highly-equipped, well-stocked biology lab that provides opportunities to develop an understanding of our living world with hands-on experience. Our biology lab has basic equipment necessary for all the experiments, including microscope, slides, test tubes, specimens, models & charts, dyes and other indicators, beakers, flasks and Bunsen burners.
Computer Lab
Upcoming generations never compromise with technology. We have a spacious dedicated computer lab with 30 systems, along with projectors and uninterrupted power supply to ensure that every student gets to use the computers in their computer period. The lab is fully equipped with the latest hardware and software, and all the devices are networked.
ATAL Lab
ATAL is a work space where young minds can bring about innovative ideas through hands-on, do-it-yourself mode. Young children get a chance to work with tools & equipment that help them have a better understanding of the concepts of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math). ATAL contains educational do-it-yourself kits and equipment related to science, electronics, and robotics. The main devices include open-source microcontroller boards, sensors and 3D printers and latest computers. Other desirable facilities include meeting rooms and video conferencing facility.
In order to foster inventiveness among students, ATAL conducts different activities such as regional and national level competitions, exhibitions, workshops on problem solving, designing and fabrication of products, and lectures, periodically.
